Portrait photography can be a challenge for an introvert. I like to hide behind my camera and poke my head out occasionaly with a joke and make them smile. In order to take a good portrait you need to make a connection no matter how small so you can relate to them. Ask questions, and help them feel at ease. It's not always easy to get images that don't look contrived.
