Whenever I saw a black and white photo in the past I thought that it had to be old. But as I took more and more photos I realized that sometimes black and white is the best way to convey the mood that your trying to capture in an image. For instance take a look at the photos of the old cars on this page. Color wouldn't convey the somber mood of the old abandoned car like the black and white does. The photo of the waves crashing over the breakwater just doesn't look as angy in color as it does in B&W. Technicaly the old barn photo isn't black and white,It's a color image but there just wasn't any much color availabe on this grey snowy winter day.
