This is a great place to look at hamburger menu ideas. Starts with a little explanation of what a hamburger menu is, and then gives 10 working examples with the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (where applicable) code provided.
Justinmind
While this site doesn't give you code, or even functional examples of the menus they feature, it goes into detail about what makes them good from a functional navigation perspective. The focus isn't the animation, or the positon, or even the appearance of the menus it's all about their purpose on the site.
Scaler
Scaler gives step by step instructions with code how to build various hamburger menus with animations.
Summary
The first thing I found out through this exercise was that there is debate about whether or not hamburger menus should be used at all. invisionapp.com gives a detailed breakdown of the pros and cons of hamburger menus complete with a generous helping of hamburger puns on the side. An interesting point of interest was that the original hamburger menu was created in 1981 by Norm Cox for the Xerox Star personal workstation. It wasn't until the rise of the smart phone that the design concept was resurected from the bitbox and rose in popularity. Personally I had previously never given much thought to hamburger menus at all. I just accepted them for what they are. They are simply juicy, savory, delicious piles of artery hardening goodness...I mean convenient navigation graphics for mobile design.
